For all the newbies here: Relax, you are an early adopter, never 'panic-sell', corrections like this one are a good entry point of for 'Dollar Cost Averaging'. And no, Korea didn't just "ban" Bitcoin.

It is always a good time to buy (the real Bitcoin, not Bcash), we are NOT in a "bubble" (fiat is the real bubble), the answer is: Buy now, always Hodl in FUD times (Bitcoin has "died" many times, but Moneybadger don't care, buy the dips and never panic-sell, stuff like: "China/Korea ban Bitcoin...again!" will keep happening again and again.
Stick to the real Bitcoin through all the 'forks' and 'splits' that accomplish nothing but new mediocre, unsafe and centralized altcoins, strengthen/immunize Bitcoin and give you free altcoins to buy more Bitcoin.
All Central Powers look silly trying to control or ban it. Learn from history and listen to this absolute Boss. There will never be enough Bitcoin for every existing millionaire to own just ONE SINGLE BITCOIN, Total number of millionaires (in USD value) worldwide is around 33 million. BTC is the best money.
Also relax, you are actually an early adopter, BTC is still relatively small, mentally prepare yourself for healthy and expected market volatility/dips/corrections/"crashes" (check out this amazing 'Corrections Trends Perspective') and remember all this:
Follow this basic rules of Bitcoin:
It is always a good time to buy Bitcoin if you are hodling long term and not just for day trading, so this is a great strategy. Remember that Bitcoin has practically been up most of the time, and the road to the moon is paved with minor corrections (Bitcoin is never really "down" when you zoom-out).
Everybody parroting: "The bitcoin bubble is about to pop, not linear.
When they bring up the "2000 Dotcom Bubble collapse", tell them: I hope so! Look at these past decentralized/disruptive tech adoption "bubbles". Hyperbitcoinization is coming.
So is not farfetched to say that it will be at 100,000 by 2020, since it came from less than $1 to $5,000 in less than 10 years, and it hasn't even hit the bottom part of the exponential 'S-Curve' of adoption. Check out this great 2017 MIT study: "The Cryptocurrency Market Is Growing Exponentially". Patience pays, don't listen to most "Expert Analysts" or MSM".
Bitcoin is a Moneybadger that get's stronger and immunized with every new attack and this broad picture of its price since infancy (1 year candles on a logarithmic scale) shows Bitcoin growth is not a "bubble" but it's exponential (bigger "bubbles" every time), this old logarithmic scale has been accurate so far, as well as analysts like Wall Street strategist Tom Lee by using Metcalfe's Law: "The value of a telecommunications network is proportional to the square of the number of connected users of the system (n2)" wiki-link. He explains it clearer here.
Learn the difference between Inflation (dollar) and Deflation (Bitcoin) and just take a look at the fiat >20 trillion (and growing fast) debt clock to get a visual shock of unlimited fiat supply (vs limited Bitcoin/Gold supply). BTC is secured by the laws of the Universe.
Bitcoin has outperformed every other currency, commodity, stock and asset since its inception in 2009. Bitcoin, the Moneybadger, is the first unseizable store of value in human history, unlike gold, equities, or fiat, it can't be confiscated if stored correctly. How banks think blockchain will disrupt their industry. Check out these Bitcoin Economy and Bitcoin Transaction infographics.
Also, remember its fixed, limited supply of 21 million coins ever, there are just ~4.5 million (~20%) bitcoins left to be mined till 2140 and the production will keep decreasing ("halving") every 4 years till then. So, remember this and don't wait for the Bitcoin "bubble" to burst or for the price to drop significantly again, because you could be waiting forever:
“The best time to buy bitcoin was in 2009...”.
Don't be -- this guy
Edit: Stay away from fake "Bitcoin" stuff like "btc", "Bitcoin".com (Bitcoin.org is the legit site), Bcash ("Bitcoin" Cash/BCH), "Bitcoin" Gold, etc.

Top 10 Richest People in the World, in Bitcoin

Bitcoin has been given the nickname “digital gold”. This is because of its characteristic as a store of wealth. Many big investors are resorting to Bitcoin as a good place to put their money. The reason for this is not just because it can be sustained, but also because of the high tendency of appreciation in value. Here we shall be considering the top 10 richest people in the world, in Bitcoin.
We will take a look at their net worth, and how much that amounts to in Bitcoin. We will also consider their primary business and a little bit of their history. How they started out in the Bitcoin ecosystem and what they have achieved so far will also enable us to understand more about them.
So, here is a list of the top 10 richest people in the world, in Bitcoin.
10. Matthew Roszark
Matthew Roszark is the founder of Tally Capital, and co-founder of Bloq. Roszark is widely known as the man who gave Richard Branson and Bill Clinton their first Bitcoins. Roszark made it early into the Bitcoin space and participated in the very first ICO in 2013. Although that wasn’t what it was called at the time.
Roszark has investments in 20 startups in the cryptocurrency ecosystem, some of which have gone ahead to do great things. Some of the startups that he invested in include Coinbase, Kraken and BTCC.
Roszark’s net worth is $1 billion, which amounts to 102,712.94 BTC (at the time of writing).
  1. Anthony Di Iorio
Anthony Di lorio is the founder of Jaxx and Decentral, and co-founder at Ethereum. Having studied a bit of economics and trying to find out the true essence of money after the recession of early 2000, Di lorio discovered Bitcoin and decided to explore. He started a Toronto Bitcoin-meetup, where he met his eventual co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin.
Di lorio contributed his personal funds towards the coding of Ethereum, and has since been involved in a number of other crypto assets. Some of them include Qtum, VeChain and ZCash.
Di lorio is a serial investor who commits to projects at an early stage, then after levelling up, he pulls his funds and moves on to something new. His net worth of $1 billion is the equivalent of 102,712.93 BTC.
  1. Michael Novogratz
This CEO of Galaxy Digital is also popular in the field of macro hedge fund management. Novogratz started investing in cryptocurrencies in 2013 and two years later he left his position at Fortress Investment Group to focus on crypto.
In the cryptocurrency industry, Novogratz is known as a seasoned trader who believes that the crypto market as it is today is a bubble. According to him, his aim is to make as much money as possible from the bubble before it bursts.
Novogratz is worth $1 billion which is the equivalent of 102,712.92 BTC
  1. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss
The Winklevoss twins arrived in the face of the public through the controversial law suit against Facebook for intellectual property theft. They eventually won the case and were paid $11 million in compensation.
With many Silicon Valley startups not wanting to get into Facebook’s black book, the twins seemed to not have where to invest their money. They were introduced to Bitcoin by Brooklyn-based investor David Azar in 2012, and found their new investment ecosystem.
Over the years, the astronomic rise in Bitcoin price has turned their $11 million investment to a $1 billion portfolio of 102,712.91 BTC.
  1. Matthew Mellon
Matthew Mellon’s money started as old money which he inherited from family sources. However, through his “crazy” investment approach, he has been able to build a fortune out of his family inheritance.
Having bought into Bitcoin some years ago, Mellon abandoned his early investments and sold his Bitcoins at some point. His attachment with the banking industry and the XRP feasibility attracted him to the coin.
Mellon spent $2 million to acquire XRP tokens a few years back. That investment has grown to $1 billion, in the equivalence of 102,712.90 BTC.
  1. Zhao Chaopeng
Zhao Chaopeng popularly known as CZ, is the founder of cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. Within one year of its launch, Binance became the largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of volume.
The platform’s tokens were sold at a price of 10 cents during its ICO. At the time of writing, the price of the coin has risen to over $27 and CZ owns a huge volume of the coins.
In 2014, CZ sold his house in Shanghai, which was practically all he had, to go all out into Bitcoin. Today, his net worth is $1.3 billion, which is equivalent to 133,523.65 BTC.
  1. Brian Armstrong
Brian Armstrong is the CEO of Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in America. Coinbase was founded in 2012, and is the most patronized cryptocurrency exchange in the US. The exchange has also expanded, and is now available in many countries of the world.
In 2018, the exchange embarked on a financing round that saw it raise $300 million, and the company is now valued at $8 billion.
Armstrong’s net worth stands at $1.3 billion, with equates to 133,523.64 BTC.
  1. Jihan Wu
Johan Wu is the co-founder of Bitmain, a China-based Bitcoin mining giant. Together with Micree Zhan Ketuan, they have grown Bitmain to become a household name in the industry, and the main supplier of ASIC-chip miners. Wu is also popular for his open support of Bitcoin Cash.
Wu is estimated to be worth up to $1.5 billion, which translates in Bitcoin to 154,065.75 BTC.
  1. Chris Larsen
Chris Larsen is the co-founder of Ripple, a company which was founded in 2012 with Jed McCaleb, the founder of Mt Gox.
Larsen is regarded as a self-made billionaire, with the bulk of his wealth coming from cryptocurrency enterprises. Ripple boasts many top end customers in its portfolio. Among the list includes Bank of America, Santander and Mitsubishi Financial.
Larsen’s net worth is estimated at $1.5 billion, which is equivalent to 154,065.74 BTC.
  1. Micree Zhan Ketuan
Zhan is the co-founder of Bitmain technologies. Bitmain is regarded as the biggest Bitcoin mining company in China. The company is also known to specialize in the sale of ASIC-chip miners.
Zhan is an electrical engineer by training and is the builder of the ASIC chips on the Bitmain hardware. He is an acclaimed self-made billionaire whose source of wealth is the manufacturing and sales of cryptocurrency mining chips.
Zhan’s net worth is estimated at $2.7 billion, which when converted to Bitcoin is 215,692.05 BTC.
Conclusion
The dominant investment industry concept is evolutionary. At different eras of existence, different industries have produced different money magnates. Serial investors at the same time have found ways of aligning with the prevailing markets as the times change.
With the advent of Bitcoin and blockchain technology, the digital assets ecosystem appears to be making a strong statement in the wealth sector. The number of self made billionaires within this sector is a testimony to the impact of this concept in today’s world.
The top 10 richest people in the world, in Bitcoin, parades some names that can stand side-by-side with money magnates of traditional industries. With more developments likely to emerge in the crypto ecosystem, it will not be surprising to see the number of crypto-made billionaire skyrocket in the near future.

The Statue of Liberty, Mystery Babylon, Freemasonry and The New Roman Empire / Fourth Reich

The Mother of Exiles and the Destruction of Babylon

I've always thought Mystery Babylon in Revelations was America. Lots of signs point to that. Inanna/Ishtar was known as the Whore of Babylon and Mother of Prostitutes because she supposedly started the practice of sacred prostitution. Inanna was the goddess of love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, combat, justice, and political power.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sacred_prostitution
Sacred prostitution, temple prostitution, cult prostitution,[1] and religious prostitution are general terms for a sexual rite consisting of sexual intercourse or other sexual activity performed in the context of religious worship, perhaps as a form of fertility rite or divine marriage (hieros gamos). Some scholars prefer the term sacred sex to sacred prostitution in cases where payment for services was not involved.
But some scholars believe that this practice never existed and has been misunderstood.
The practice of sacred prostitution has not been substantiated in any Ancient Near Eastern cultures, despite many popular descriptions of the habit.[7] Through the twentieth century, scholars generally believed that a form of sacred marriage rite or hieros gamos was staged between the king of a Sumerian city-state and the High Priestess of Inanna, the Sumerian goddess of sexual love, fertility, and warfare, but no certain evidence has survived to prove that sexual intercourse was included. Along the Tigris and Euphrates rivers there was a temple of Eanna, meaning house of heaven[8] dedicated to Inanna in the Eanna District of Uruk. This will be relevant in my next post about the source of Yahweh's narcissism but for now, I'm just using this to illustrate part of the reason I think America is Babylon.
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-KlpGZ9JO_d4/U0P2Y-3kfEI/AAAAAAAAMJs/PEwa9mPU67w/s1600/Lady+Liberty+-+Statue+of+Liberty+-+Inanna+-+Ishtar+-+Anunnaki.jpg

The Statue of Liberty is a representation of the Roman goddess Libertas. Which is a goddess that derived from many other goddesses: Inanna, Ishtar, Isis, Aphrodite, Venus, etc. Ultimately this goddess was transformed in a personification of America and liberty called Columbia. And just like Inanna, is it any wonder America seems to have 2 split sides to it? One side that is sexually repressed and all about virtue. And another that is obsessed with sex, violence, war
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Columbia_(name)
There's also the fact that the way Babylon is described sounds a lot like America. Getting the whole world drunk on our luxuries and riches, being arrogant and being fools who know nothing. This sounds like America too.
The Sumerians worshipped Inanna as the goddess of both warfare and sexuality. Unlike other gods, whose roles were static and whose domains were limited, the stories of Inanna describe her as moving from conquest to conquest. She was portrayed as young and impetuous, constantly striving for more power than she had been allotted.
Inanna also was depicted as riding a Lion and she associated with the planet Venus.

Regulus is a part of the constellation Leo and considered "the heart of the lion". Considering Regulus is a very important star in Trump's birth chart apparently, and that star was known as The King in Babylon (known as the little king as well in other places), that would make Trump the King of Babylon.
In 2014, Regulus was eclipsed by an asteroid for 14 seconds right over New York.
https://www.nymetroweather.com/tag/regulus/
An asteroid will pass directly in front of Regulus, one of the brightest stars in our night sky, next Wednesday — briefly blacking out the star in what astronomers are calling a “once in a lifetime” event. Better yet, New York City falls directly within the viewing path which is literally paper-thin on the earths scale. The event is so small, and so brief, that it will only be visible over a sliver of area. And this area happens to encompass millions of people in New York City, Northeast NJ and Long Island.
https://www.space.com/25084-regulus-star-lion-constellation-leo.html
On Thursday, March 20 2014, Regulus will participate in a rare celestial event when an asteroid passes directly in front of the star, as seen from Earth. The asteroid in question is 163 Erigone. Asteroid 163 Erigone is about 45 miles (72 km) wide, but its "shadow" slanting to Earth's surface will be 67 miles (108 km) wide.
Erigone's shadow will move on a southeast-to-northwest trajectory and will extend from New York City as well as western and central Long Island to Oswego in New York State, and then continues northwest, the length of Ontario to the Hudson Bay shore of Manitoba. Those who are within the shadow path and watching at just the right moment with just their eyes will see an amazing sight: Regulus will seem to abruptly disappear as if a switch had been thrown, blotted out by the tiny invisible asteroid.
Regulus will remain invisible for up to 14 seconds (for those situated along the center of the path); an incredible, albeit very brief occurrence.
This "once in a lifetime event" eclipsing right over New York. Where the Statue of Liberty is.
Revelations 17
There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery:
15 Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages. 16 The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority, until God’s words are fulfilled. 18 The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.”
America's colors are red, white and blue. Red+Blue = Purple. Purple apparently represents royalty as well as vanity. Scarlet represents the blood of Christ and martyrs.
The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple
The color purple is also associated with royalty in Christianity, being one of the three traditional offices of Jesus Christ, i. e. king, although such a symbolism was assumed from the earlier Roman association or at least also employed by the ancient Romans.
In Europe and America, purple is the color most associated with vanity, extravagance, and individualism. Among the seven major sins, it represents vanity. It is a color which is used to attract attention
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarlet_(color)
In the Roman Catholic Church, scarlet is the color worn by a cardinal, and is associated with the blood of Christ and the Christian martyrs, and with sacrifice.
According to this, the creator wanted the Statue of Liberty to be covered in gold.
and was glittering with gold
https://parade.com/311395/viannguyen/10-things-you-didnt-know-about-the-statue-of-liberty-she-was-almost-gold/
**8.Bartholdi planned for the statue to be covered in gold.**In order to make the statue visible after dark, Bartholdi proposed that Americans raise the money to gild her. However, given how daunting and arduous a task it had been to gather even enough money to place the statue in New York harbor, no one followed through on paying the enormous cost of covering the massive statue in gold.
Not to mention this little interesting fact that brings the 2nd Beasts actions that are spoken of to mind.
:The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.
:**9. Thomas Edison once had plans to make the statue talk.**When Edison introduced the phonograph to the public in 1878, he told the newspapers that he was designing a “monster disc” for the interior of the Statue of Liberty that would allow the statue to deliver speeches that could be heard up to the northern part of Manhattan and across the bay. Thankfully, no one pursued that strange promise, which would have led to the odd experience of walking in New York and suddenly hearing the Statue of Liberty “talking.”
precious stones and pearls.
http://justfunfacts.com/interesting-facts-about-the-statue-of-liberty/
There are 25 windows in the crown which symbolize gemstones found on the earth and the heaven’s rays shining over the world.
https://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2016/10/that-time-the-statue-of-liberty-almost-got-a-glowing-wrist-watch/504110/
The sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi designed the statue to be fully illuminated, a feature that’s suggested in its official name, “La Liberté Eclairant le Monde,” or “Liberty Enlightening the World.” (At first the Statue of Liberty doubled as a lighthouse, given its position in the New York Harbor, but that didn’t last: It was decommissioned as such in 1902.)
Originally the lighting scheme was to be red, white, and blue—with a giant searchlight trained on the statue’s face and shoulders. Officials claimed in 19th-century newspaper accounts that they would make the statue so bright as to cast a glow on the clouds of the night sky 100 miles away. The statue’s face was to be lit by a reflector so bright that newspapers described it as “4 million candle power.” Her diadem was meant to sparkle with electric light. These were lofty goals in the dawn of the electrical age, and they carried symbolism that has lost much of its potency now that electricity is taken for granted.
https://thumbs.dreamstime.com/b/torch-statue-liberty-closeup-isolated-white-background-56181619.jpg
She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries.
In the torch, the flames are covered in gold. Looks enough like a cup. Also, in Isaiah 14:12 (another prophecy detailing the fall of Babylon that I didn't bother copying and pasting all of here) it refers to Babylon (or it's king) as "Lucifer, son of the morning". Lucifer means "light bringer" (hence the torch and the statue's original name being Liberty Enlightening the World) or "morning star" which is another name for the planet Venus which is associated with Inanna/Ishtar.
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
https://twistedsifter.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/statue-of-liberty-from-above-aerial-satellite-photo.jpg
Notice how that star shape has 11 points? Seems like a strange number.
The beast and the ten horns you saw will hate the prostitute. They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to hand over to the beast their royal authority
The 10 kings + the beast = 11.
The seven heads are seven hills on which the woman sits. They are also seven kings.
It has 7 spikes coming out of the head.
https://timedotcom.files.wordpress.com/2013/06/01_00240318.jpg?quality=85
We're a very diverse country and Lady Liberty represents us taking in people from all countries. We pretty much control the world (for now) as the 7 hills represents the 7 continents, which is literally what is said they represent. Plus she's literally sitting on an island in the water.
Then the angel said to me, “The waters you saw, where the prostitute sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations and languages.
The creator of the Statue of Liberty, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, was a Freemason and they placed this plaque at the base of the statue.
https://untappedcities-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/iyftc1oqf704bytwz45ub151.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Statue-of-Liberty-Freemason-Cornerstone-NYC.jpg
Masonic theories abound about the Statue of Liberty’s connection to the masons. Those who do ascribe to the theory cite Bartholdi’s and Eiffel’s membership in the Freemasons, that many original plans for the statue demonstrate the link and that many elements of the statue carry symbolic meaning.
In addition, the masons presided over the cornerstone laying for the Statue of Liberty, a moment commemorated in a 1984 plaque in dedication to the masons on the 100th anniversary. In 1884, the grand master William A. Brodie laid the cornerstone with grand lodge members present. Brodie is reported to have said, “Why call upon the Masonic Fraternity to lay the cornerstone of such a structure as is here to be erected? No institution has done more to promote liberty and to free men from the trammels and chains of ignorance and tyranny than has Freemasonry.”
Then there's the poem that is inside the base.
The New Colossus
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall standA mighty woman with a torch, whose flameIs the imprisoned lightning, and her nameMOTHER OF EXILES. From her beacon-handGlows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes commandThe air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries sheWith silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
The Mother of exiles.

Prophecies of the Destruction of Babylon / America / New York

Jeremiah 51
45 “Come out of her, my people!Run for your lives!Run from the fierce anger of the Lord.46 Do not lose heart or be afraidwhen rumors are heard in the land;one rumor comes this year, another the next, rumors of violence in the landand of ruler against ruler.47 For the time will surely comewhen I will punish the idols of Babylon;her whole land will be disgraced
Well, we're definitely hearing of rumors of violence here in America and if there aren't rumors of ruler against ruler, we're going hear them soon.
The Bible details the destruction of Babylon a few different times. Mystery Babylon seems to be a new Babylon, different than the one in Biblical times, that gets destroyed at the end. Everything described here sounds like America and the King of Babylon being Trump. The capital being New York.
With the eclipse of Regulus in 2014 for 14 seconds right over New York. I think they might get hit with something major. Maybe a hurricane. This season is suppose to be bad and FEMA is saying they are completely unprepared. I'm sure that wasn't on purpose or anything. I think maybe a big earthquake might happen soon too in the next month. Seeing a lot of weird shit. A lot of polarity with the planets and asteroids. I think it's all connected to our polarity as the Trump Delusion continues. You seeing these reports and videos of these racist people just saying mean shit to people all over the place now for no reason? They're lashing out because they're scared their delusion bubble might burst so they're acting out. It's only going to escalate until both sides completely lose their fucking minds.

The New Roman Empire / Fourth Reich & The Double Headed Eagle of Lagash

http://watchmanscry.com/?p=6230
Welcome to General Election 2016 – The Transition
The Hegelian Dialectic is the transition of things. And the Illuminati loves to use it. We have been expecting it.
We have read about it. And now it is here, in front of our faces. And many are IGNORING it.
Folks, we are witnessing Hegelian logic on display.
How we got here is an aside, but here we are. The disease is Hillary, and the medicine is Trump. For most folks, that’s all that matters. Case closed. What most citizens do not realize is that this is all a ruse. A mirage.
It is being carried by, “they.”
“They” are using the illusion, because America was stationary and stubborn.
“You can’t New World Order me!” Americans said, “…Because we know about you.”
Did the globalists go away and cry in their beer? Nope. They knew this would happen. It was expected. Butsome of the citizens heard a few radio shows that told them, “we’re gonna win.”
Hegel’s dialectic utilizes the “mirage.” And then steers the people through its house of mirrors with scary monsters. In America’s case, the monster is a short woman with a trucker’s voice named Hillary. Their task is simple. Globalism. But how do they get there?
Simple:
Scare them with the Thesis – Hillary / the Enemy of Freedom.
And offset her with the Anti-thesis – Donald the Lion-Hearted / Champion of the People.
…Next stop – the Synthesis. Ashes with a rising phoenix.
It's right there in front of us. Do you see it folks?
This is also known as
Problem > Reaction > Solution
Ultimately this is leading to:
Problem: Trump vs Deep State
Reaction: Global Disaster
Solution: One world government and one world currency
They say this is a double headed eagle, it's not. It's a double headed Phoenix. And it's the symbol of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonary.
http://uscnjpha.org/history/double-headed-eagle/
http://uscnjpha.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/F.png
“The Double Headed Eagle of Lagash” is the oldest Royal Crest in the World… No emblematic device of today can boast of such antiquity. Its origin has been traced to the ancient city of Lagash. It was in use a thousand years before the Exodus from Egypt and more than two thousand years before the building of “King Solomon’s Temple.”
“As time rolled on, it passed from the Sumerians to the men of Akkad, from the men of Akkad to the Hittites, from the denizens of Asia Minor to the Seljukian Sultans from whom it was brought by the Crusaders to the Emperors of the East and West, whose successors were the Hapsburgs and the Romanoffs.”
“In recent excavations, the city-emblem of Lagash was disclosed also as a lion headed eagle sinking his claws into the bodies of two lions standing back to back. This is evidently a variant of the other eagle symbol”.
“The city of Lagash is in Sumer in Southern Babylonia, between the Euphrates and the Tigris and near the modern Shatra in Iraq, Lagash had a calendar of twelve lunar months, a system of weights and measures, a banking and accounting system and was a center of art, literature, military and political power, five thousand years before Christ”.
“In 102 B.C. the Roman Consul Marius decreed that the Eagle be displayed as a symbol of Imperial Rome. Later, as a world power, Rome used the Double-Headed Eagle, one head facing the East the other facing the West, symbolizing the universality and unity of the Empire. The Emperors of the Holy Roman Empire continued its use and the symbol was adopted later in Germany during the halcyon days of conquest and imperial power”.
So far as is known, the Double-Headed Eagle was first used in Freemasonry in 1758 by a Masonic Body in Paris – the Emperors of the East and West. During a brief period the Masonic Emperors of the East and West controlled the advanced degrees then in use and became a precursor of the “Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite”.
The Latin caption under the Double-Headed Eagle – “Spes Mea in Deo Est” translated is “My Hope Is In God”.
A part of this sounds familiar
“In recent excavations, the city-emblem of Lagash was disclosed also as a lion headed eagle sinking his claws into the bodies of two lions standing back to back. This is evidently a variant of the other eagle symbol”.

So it represented the universality and unity of the Empire of Rome and was later adopted by Germany during their days of conquest and imperial power. For these Freemasons, it represents two emperors, one from the east and one from the west coming together to create one empire. Hmm.. I wonder if that has any significance to today's world.

https://www.rbth.com/history/327634-why-is-double-headed-eagle-a-symbol-of-russia
The imperial bird with two heads simultaneously facing East and West has been Russia’s official coat of arms for centuries, with only a break during the Soviet era. The emblem, however, is far older than the country, with roots dating to ancient civilizations.
An eagle on a country’s coat of arms is quite common – this bird is as popular a national symbol as the lion. “He is the king of birds; just like the lion is believed to rule all animals, and he is associated with the cult of the sun,” Georgy Vilinbakhov, head of Russia’s Heraldic Council, explains.

So Trump's new coat of arms has the same symbol as Russia which symbolizes 2 empires, one from the east and one from the west, combining into one.
Does the way they dress look familiar to anyone?

The Rise of The Phoenix and One World Currency

https://socioecohistory.wordpress.co...mist-magazine/
Source: Economist; 01/9/88, Vol. 306, pp 9-10
https://socioecohistory.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/theeconomist-phoenix_get_ready_for_world_currency_by_2018.jpg
Title of article: Get Ready for the Phoenix
THIRTY years from now, Americans, Japanese, Europeans, and people in many other rich countries, and some relatively poor ones will probably be paying for their shopping with the same currency. Prices will be quoted not in dollars, yen or D-marks but in, let’s say, the phoenix. The phoenix will be favoured by companies and shoppers because it will be more convenient than today’s national currencies, which by then will seem a quaint cause of much disruption to economic life in the last twentieth century. At the beginning of 1988 this appears an outlandish prediction. Proposals for eventual monetary union proliferated five and ten years ago, but they hardly envisaged the setbacks of 1987. The governments of the big economies tried to move an inch or two towards a more managed system of exchange rates – a logical preliminary, it might seem, to radical monetary reform. For lack of co-operation in their underlying economic policies they bungled it horribly, and provoked the rise in interest rates that brought on the stock market crash of October. These events have chastened exchange-rate reformers. The market crash taught them that the pretence of policy co-operation can be worse than nothing, and that until real co-operation is feasible (i.e., until governments surrender some economic sovereignty) further attempts to peg currencies will flounder
The new world economyThe biggest change in the world economy since the early 1970’s is that flows of money have replaced trade in goods as the force that drives exchange rates. as a result of the relentless integration of the world’s financial markets, differences in national economic policies can disturb interest rates (or expectations of future interest rates) only slightly, yet still call forth huge transfers of financial assets from one country to another. These transfers swamp the flow of trade revenues in their effect on the demand and supply for different currencies, and hence in their effect on exchange rates. As telecommunications technology continues to advance, these transactions will be cheaper and faster still. With unco-ordinated economic policies, currencies can get only more volatile.
In all these ways national economic boundaries are slowly dissolving. As the trend continues, the appeal of a currency union across at least the main industrial countries will seem irresistible to everybody except foreign-exchange traders and governments. In the phoenix zone, economic adjustment to shifts in relative prices would happen smoothly and automatically, rather as it does today between different regions within large economies (a brief on pages 74-75 explains how.) The absence of all currency risk would spur trade, investment and employment.
The phoenix zone would impose tight constraints on national governments. There would be no such thing, for instance, as a national monetary policy. The world phoenix supply would be fixed by a new central bank, descended perhaps from the IMF. The world inflation rate – and hence, within narrow margins, each national inflation rate- would be in its charge. Each country could use taxes and public spending to offset temporary falls in demand, but it would have to borrow rather than print money to finance its budget deficit. With no recourse to the inflation tax, governments and their creditors would be forced to judge their borrowing and lending plans more carefully than they do today. This means a big loss of economic sovereignty, but the trends that make the phoenix so appealing are taking that sovereignty away in any case. Even in a world of more-or-less floating exchange rates, individual governments have seen their policy independence checked by an unfriendly outside world.
As the next century approaches, the natural forces that are pushing the world towards economic integration will offer governments a broad choice. They can go with the flow, or they can build barricades. Preparing the way for the phoenix will mean fewer pretended agreements on policy and more real ones. It will mean allowing and then actively promoting the private-sector use of an international money alongside existing national monies. That would let people vote with their wallets for the eventual move to full currency union. The phoenix would probably start as a cocktail of national currencies, just as the Special Drawing Right is today. In time, though, its value against national currencies would cease to matter, because people would choose it for its convenience and the stability of its purchasing power.
The alternative – to preserve policymaking autonomy- would involve a new proliferation of truly draconian controls on trade and capital flows. This course offers governments a splendid time. They could manage exchange-rate movements, deploy monetary and fiscal policy without inhibition, and tackle the resulting bursts of inflation with prices and incomes polices. It is a growth-crippling prospect. Pencil in the phoenix for around 2018, and welcome it when it comes.
https://medium.com/@torrmara/1988-crypto-prophesy-from-the-economist-e201ab28aa26
So it was a random Sunday: bed, eat, repeat until I went online and I saw a link by a new user called @limon. There was a small introduction to a YouTube video which at first glance didn’t look interesting, but what the hell? Lets read this.
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...lLpi-xYDCw.png
He talked about an article from The Economist, year 1988, coin, phoenix and then Zoin… wtf?
Anyways, I opened the link (don’t open links from strangers) and watched the video in Youtube, (it’s in Spanish)
@limon claims in the video (minute 5) that he actually found a not so well know cryptocurrency (yet) by doing some research on an article from 1988 and he is somehow convinced it’s going to be huge. Yes, @limon saw the writing and thought maybe I should check this and find out which is the coin of the future.
As crazy as it seems, finding a cryptocurrency by doing research on a 1988 magazine its quite incredible. Is it a coincidence or is it a prediction? Not even @limon knows, but there’s a few things that can blow up your mind here.
This is the article from 1988. It claims that there will be a currency (referred as “phoenix”) that will be used by everybody in several countries in 2018.
So yes, you all might say “the coin is called the Phoenix”. There’s actually a coin called Phoenixcoin but that didn’t seem to convince @limon once he checked it out in www.coinmarketcap.com (it sucked even for @limon who wanted to believe with all his heart)
But @limon didn’t give up, he thought what if its hidden? So he decided to take a closer look at the magazine cover.
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...LKufsoJVug.png
He noticed that he could read the letters backward (um…interesting)
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...Ir1KSVOMbw.png
He got XIN3ONd NET by reading the cover letter backwards and he said well, XIN is Chinese, and found out in google translator that XIN meant NEW.
Then 3ONd he looked at it and thought this is Russian… and it was. That weird word that would not mean anything to someone meant something for @limon so he decided to google translate it.
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...uui5nS3hFg.png
Well yeah 3ONd is Russian and means ZOI, but wait is this a coin? @Limon decided to search “ZOI” in www.coinmarketcap.com.
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...LN2UCCLQwg.png
WOW, Zoin existed. He ended up with the sentence NEW ZOI NET, in which Zoi was an actual currency.
He starting searching now all about Zoin (DYOR) and liked everything he saw. The team, the community and development its very much updated.
Got even more carried away when he saw Zoin’s logo:
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...4CV6Ln5sFQ.png
https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/...y75KEGoyHQ.png
And when he researched even deeper, he found out that ZOIN was left by its first developer and got taken over by its community from all over the world.
Yes, Zoin emerged from the ashes. What? wait. Zoin is also a Phoenix.
Anyways, @limon found all the signs of a prophecy from 1988.
He couldn’t wait so he joined Zoin’s community and shared his video.
By the way he bought some Zoin. After finding the last lost prophecy he had no plans on missing out.
Check all about Zoin in the following links.
You can reach out to the team on Discord, website address is www.zoinofficial.com and their twitter @zoinofficial
You better don’t miss it. Its a prophecy.
Thank you limon.
@torrmara
Notice the year on the coin and at the end of the article, 2018. "Pencil in the phoenix for around 2018, and welcome it when it comes". Trump and Russia both have a double headed Phoenix signifying the union of an Empire. This article talks about a one world currency called "Phoenix" coming in 2018. The number 10 upside down is 01. It's a bit on a coin

I posted about an Israeli company that can do things with blockchain and DNA in my previous postings on this topic. I think that this will have something to do with the Mark of the Beast.

Trump is the Tip of the Spear for the NWO Plan

Notice the spear tip coming out of the Phoenix's head on the cover of the Economist magazine? Trump. has a spear on top of both of his coat of arm. Trump is the tip of the sphere. I think once he's fulfilled his purpose in wrecking everything and nuking North Korea, I think they might have someone take him out. Then things would get even crazier.

THE STATE OF GOVERNANCE

In the last two hundred years, we experienced a decline in poverty and an enhancement of our overall living conditions. The majority of these improvements are a result of universal education, technological improvements and improved models of governance. However, across borders and through different layers of our respective cultures, not all participants in our global society are affected equally. While some of us thrive, our consumption-based economies lead to the destruction of our natural resources and biodiversity. Our fragile debt-based financial systems, aggravated by corruption and bad governance, bring forward economic cycles which involve bubbles and their bursts. A currently relevant example is the hyperinflation striking Venezuela (2018). Many other examples can be given on the symptoms of inadequate governance models lacking focus on the future turning the weaker individuals of our society into victims. With the slow realisation of said problems, enabled by the advancements of communication technology, a series of small and large revolts have taken place throughout the world. In some instances, they overthrew countries and proved that with the help of modern technology, people are more powerful than any state, religion or political system. It is in these events that the first stages of a global collaborative movement bringing forward change can be recognized, a movement in which the Government Network is taking part. The following are examples of an impressive global collaborative movement:
● 2010 - 2014: “Arab Spring” started in Egypt and spread throughout the region
● 2011 - 2012: “Occupy” started in the United States and spread worldwide
● 2012 - 2012: “May Day” protests across the United States and Asia
● 2013 - 2013: “Gezi Park” regional protests Turkey
● 2014 - 2014: “Umbrella Movement” in Hong Kong
● 2015 - 2018: “Black Lives Matter” in the United States
● 2016 - 2018: “Syrian Refugee Crisis” global support
● 2017 - 2018: “Iranian Uprising” global protests Coincidently with the advent of political change, the world is experiencing the rise of a new type of currency, namely, virtual-, cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrencies find their origin in 2009, after Satoshi Nakamoto's released his whitepaper on Bitcoin, and with it, the invention of distributed ledger technology. In less than a decade, the technology led to the creation of thousands of projects and applications. The market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies combined briefly touched $ 800 Billion at the beginning of 2018, countries have taken steps to integrate crypto in their respective legal frameworks and accept their integration into the economy. Cryptocurrencies and the underlying distributed ledger technology play a key role in the Government Network, enabling its formation.

Icon and the future.

A lot of people here keep asking if Icon is so great why doesn't the price reflect the greatness.
I would like you all to take a minute and read this medium article by Hitters Xu, Nebulas founder and former NEO/Antshares founder. This guy is well respected throughout all of the community, started the first bitcoin club in China around 2013 or so if I'm not mistaking.
He and Min are of a similar mindset, let the tech bring real world applications before hyping up a would be product needlessly. As we can see, no matter what project in crypto they all seem to go up on hype and down back close to point A. Almost nothing will keep them up against a bearish Bitcoin run. Min had a great reply that I can't seem to find right now, it was on telegram basically telling everyone that he's not here to hype the price.
To compare to another project, Vechain. I'm invested in Vechain and believe they are on a good path as well, but a different one. Constant hype, constant announcing of new partners but it's definitely getting old. Partnership with LVMH but it's only in their startup garage (50 startups accepted). Similar case for BMW. Basically anything to keep the price up. Icon and Nebulas are looking to get a working product first before being about price. They obviously all say that price doesn't matter but it does. Just not in the short term.
Simple way of looking at it, for me anyways. If ICX is $2 today or $5 I'm still not selling. So why look for short term profits ? To be honest, I'm not even selling at $10 even though I would be in huge profit.
Maybe this has been regurgitated a lot but make real companies and people have to use your product before going for unsustainable price hype. I mean, the king of hype Tron surely couldn't support it's 17BN valuation, XRP was over 100BN (facepalm).
I'm not asking you to believe in Icon or Min, but if you do, I'm asking you to look at the big picture. If you're here for short term profit. May I suggest NCASH and STORM for easy alt season plays.
Oh here's the medium article. https://medium.com/nebulasio/crypto-bubble-2018-things-we-can-do-before-it-bursts-3a0d86fcd117
Side note: I'm invested in Nebulas also and if you think Icon is long term project then you have no idea, I might have to wait until 2020 for NAS.

Why Bitcoin and Tulip Mania are two vastly different, and entirely unrelated, phenomena: a comprehensive analysis

I keep seeing all these comparisons of Bitcoin to tulip mania, such as in this extremely inaccurate chart Convoy investments recently published. It’s a bunch of bullshit. Bitcoin is about as far from 17th century tulip bulbs as you can get so I’m gonna debunk this claim right now. Here are the facts —
  1. This chart only goes back to 3 years before the “bubble peak.” If they’re talking about now being the peak, it would start at 2014. Bitcoin was founded in 2009 & experienced its first “bubble” if you will, in 2013.
  2. Bubbles do not typically burst and then come back. Tulip bulb prices crashed once and it was over. That’s why this chart conveniently left out the pre-2014 era.
  3. This chart puts the value of bitcoin in 2014, using its Y axis label “multiple of starting price” at next to 0. Bitcoin started at less than a dollar. Its value in 2014 was in the hundreds of dollars.
  4. It is not known exactly how long tulip mania lasted as there is no data available from February of 1637 to the beginning of may. Low estimates for its duration fall around 3 months. At the highest estimate, it may have lasted 6 months (Source) Convoy’s chart incorrectly depicts the tulip boom as almost a full year long.
Bitcoin on the other hand, has been around for 8 years. In Jan 2018 it’ll be 9.
Let’s disregard this for a sec, lets play devils advocate and look only at bitcoin’s latest increase which began around March 2017 (Source) It consistently began hitting ATHs back in March of this year, and gained even more traction later on from June-July. So, disregarding everything else Bitcoin’s current meteoric rise has already lasted approx 9 months, which is longer than the rise, peak and collapse of tulip bulbs altogether.
Let me point out here that Convoy got the dates for tulip mania wrong as well! it lasted from late 1636- early 1637, not 1619-1622.
  1. Tulips are not scarce. People can plant tulips and collect bulbs all they want. Bitcoin is inherently scarce. 21 million bitcoins - and only 21 million - can ever be made. That’s it.
  2. Tulips are irrelevant. Investors invested in them regardless of what they were, to make a quick buck. They could have been daisies or pigeons or lumps of rock. This brings us to:
  3. Tulip prices were doomed to crash from the start because they had no intrinsic value. Investments were made in them ONLY because investors thought the price was going to go up, and that was it. Bitcoin, on the other hand, has intrinsic value as a currency and as a technology. People think the price will go up, yes; this part can be labeled speculative and it does add fuel to the spaceship. However, the difference is that there are real solid reasons for its price increase.
An asset price cannot increase forever based on speculation alone, but if the asset has inherent value, then its price sure can continue to increase.
If we look at the Apple stock chart from 1980 to 2012, we can see a pattern that’s actually quite similar to Bitcoin’s rise. Was Apple a bubble? Did it burst? No and no.
But Michael Dell once made fun of Apple for “trying to be a company”.
And nobody knows who Michael Dell is anymore.
Bitcoin is not Tulip Mania.
That is all.
Edit: thanks joecoin for linking me to a compelling article from Smithsonian Mag. This source makes a very convincing argument that tulip mania never actually happened. I figured I should point this out, because the facts are all important to me. That being said, the concept of tulip mania remains, and there are people who try likening it to bitcoin as if the two are any more similar than apples and oranges. Those people are wrong. :)

Where is the BTC bottom ? Let's ask volatility index
Hi guys,
A lot of people used to reffer to the volume to put in evidence the last step of a bubble burst: the capitulation.
However, it's seems that volume is not the only indicators of that phenomenon.
I have decided to show you the Bitcoin volatility index (in the white box) of BTC 60-days.You can cleary see, in the 2014 crash, the two peak of the volatility index. The first is from the 2014 ATH, and the second is from the capitulation later in 2015.
If we look at this index during the last bubble, we can also see a strong peak in the volatility index during the big FOMO when BTC has reached 20k. Then the next big volatility peak was during the crash from 6k to 3k. Now volatility index is very low, suggesting there won't be more crash action, and that we are entering an accumulation phase.
I think it's pretty normal that the volatily in 2014 was able to reach such height, because the market was still very very light in term of capitalisation. Years later in 2018, market was slightly bigger and the volatility is harder to reach such level.
From this analysis I could conclude that the pattern is pretty similar and makes me think that we may have reached a bottom.
It's just my point of view! Maybe we will see in the coming month one more dip with volume. But i'm not so sure.
What do you guys think of my analysis ?(hope my english is not so bad, not my first language sorry)

Government Network : THE STATE OF GOVERNANCE The first stages of a global collaborative movement.

In the last two hundred years, we experienced a decline in poverty and an enhancement of our overall living conditions. The majority of these improvements are a result of universal education, technological improvements and improved models of governance. However, across borders and through different layers of our respective cultures, not all participants in our global society are affected equally.
https://preview.redd.it/4gitv3jodjx11.jpg?width=534&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f0f10e7e1ac268f51cca85770452a6e80ec59fe3
● 2017 - 2018: “Iranian Uprising” global protests
Coincidently with the advent of political change, the world is experiencing the rise of a new type of currency, namely, virtual-, cryptocurrency.

Bitching/Profiteering/HODLing Has Killed Bitcoin [X-Post from /r/Bitcoin]

I will say from the outset that I am a genuine believer in Bitcoin as a payment mechanism, as a technology both in terms of the actual technological product and also the open source, community-based ethos. I have run my own Bitcoin node for free for the last 3 years, written (and open sourced) a status script so that others who run gratis nodes can show them to the world. I hold a very minimal amount of cryptocurrency, and have no desire to buy any.
I personally think that Bitcoin and the wider cryptocurrency world is the future of finance. If I could, I would like my salary paid in Bitcoin, I would like my morning coffee paid in Bitcoin, whether it's at a little independent store in Bristol or a global chain in London, or New York or Paris. One of Bitcoin's often-overlooked strengths is its global nature, and another of those strengths is the ethos under which it was founded.
HOWEVER ...
After a lot of discussion and reading (both the wider news and this and other subs), I have come to the conclusion that Bitcoin is nearing death, and the killer blow is most likely to come from the very community that should be nurturing it, in the form of one very common human trait: greed.
The economics of the current Bitcoin price isn't really that hard to grasp, on a basic level it's elementary supply/demand. Bitcoins are very desirable, there's a limited supply of them, therefore they're expensive. However, that characteristic is most common of a product, something that can be bought and sold as a commodity, not a currency.
I can guarantee that when most newbies buy Bitcoin, they don't buy them to spend. They buy them so that they can sell them later for a profit. It's this fundamental greed, the pursuit of value, the "to the moon" and "buy the dip" and "HODLing" that has given Bitcoin this commodity-like appearance and has ultimately killed any chance of it being a serious alternative to the likes of Visa and MasterCard.
What a lot of people don't seem to understand is that this opportunistic behaviour undermines the core purpose of Bitcoin's existence, and will ultimately hamper its ability to be taken seriously as a credible alternative to regular banks, which will in turn lead to its downfall, or at the very least its usage restricted to niche sellers who understand the volatility and nuances.
How many people walk into a currency exchange and buy a load of USD or GBP in the hope that in six months they can turn a profit? In order for Bitcoin to succeed, it has to be stable. Both in terms of technology (and I take no particular side in any of the ongoing bitching) and value. For a retailer to accept Bitcoin as payment, the business needs to know that the value is stable, and that they won't be left bankrupt overnight - the inherent volatility will mean that as soon as they have taken payment in BTC from the customer, the retailer will move the funds into a stable currency, which will defeat the entire point of having originally taken the payment in BTC.
On the subject of the current state of the Bitcoin community (basically - there isn't one) - this is what happens when open source software gets monetised, and the early adopters who have all gotten very rich very quickly get very greedy. They all want "the best" for the platform, which will always - consciously or subconsciously - be affected by their personal holdings.
Ironically I saw many positive news stories, both in the crypto press and the wider media, after the burst of the 2013 bubble. Payment providers were getting on board. The technology was being treated as a technology, not a commodity. Now, on the other hand, every news story is about the value, how it's hit another all-time high, which then feeds the entire circle because more people want to jump on the get-rich-quick bandwagon, which in turn drives the demand higher, which then drives the price higher.
This also then has a knock-on effect on the price of transactions. People don't think in Bitcoin (for now), they think in fiat. So, even if transaction fees are small portions of a BTC, when those small portions are actually worth a non-trivial amount of fiat currency (e.g. to the price of a beer, or another coffee), people will be put off, and the value has dealt another blow to Bitcoin's credibility.
Sadly, humans have killed Bitcoin, by being human.

Hyper-Bitcoinization Will Happen In 2022. Here’s Why.

-or-
Cryptocurrencies Will See The Greatest Bull Run From 2018 to 2022. Here’s Why.
  1. Stock market and crypto and lots of things right now are very high right? Looks like a bubble. Hold that thought.
  2. Federal Reserve raised interest rates from 0-1% in 2016. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/interest-rate
  3. We know that before the 2008 crash, the Fed interest rate was 5%. So 1% possibly means we are currently far away from a bubble pop. https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/interest-rate
  4. The typical credit micro-cycle lasts from 5-8 years, according to this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PHe0bXAIuk0
  5. We know that from 2009-2016, the FED Interest Rate was basically 0%. This means that during that time, the economy was “de-leveraging” (people were unwinding their debt obligations, this takes time). This means that the de-leverage cycle lasted about 6 years. And that 2016 was the start of a new leveraging cycle. If this is the case, then we are now not at bubble peak. Bubble will burst...2016 + 2.5 or 4 years. maybe even longer. If we ASSUME that leveraging will take 6 years, that puts us in 2022 when the bubble pops (the wealth transition period the time traveller talks about), this is almost in-line with what the reddit time traveller said in 2013! https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/
  6. When the bubble pops in 2019-2022 (we don’t know the exact year), crypto will be a mature asset. It will also be very expensive, because during the bubble years (2017 to 2022), everyone would be using immense credit to buy crypto, driving it’s price up right? (https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/11/people-are-taking-out-mortgages-to-buy-bitcoin-says-joseph-borg.html) Why do I say it’s an asset? Because people right now mostly buy crypto to HODL, in the expectation of future increase in price. This makes it behave more like a commodity, or asset, than a currency, for now.
  7. When the economic bubble pops in 2019-2022, I believe there could be 2 outcomes:
Outcome A. People sell crypto assets to pay their debts, just like the housing bubble caused the foreclosure of homes. Crypto declines in price or crashes. See what happened in 2013, when the first Bitcoin bubble popped.
Outcome B. Because crypto is so expensive, in 2022, and the value of fiat has collapsed so much...people decide to switch over to crypto. They prefer to escape the current system, rather than feed it. Crypto at this point has also matured and solved the scaling issues, through layer 2, better algorithms, maybe the hashgraph, or the lightning network. This allows Crypto to now begin to function as a currency, in addition to being a store of value! A new ruling class is created from the top 1% of people who own crypto. This is hyperbitcoinisation. B also means that conversion to crypto might happen faster than we think. It also means the rich poor gap could become even more huge! Crypto doesn’t solve the wealth distribution issue. In fact it could make it worse. https://medium.com/@BambouClub/are-you-in-the-bitcoin-1-a-new-model-of-the-distribution-of-bitcoin-wealth-6adb0d4a6a95
This is my worry: A complete solution for our world economy, must be a Crypto or a Constitution that also solves the wealth distribution issue. Bitcoin does not do this, neither does any crypto currency available today, I feel. I suggest taking some guidance from Permaculture on this, how to build a self-sustaining, stable system, by matching inputs and outputs. It is clear to me at least, that our simplistic economic models are unable achieve this at present.
Addendum: I make no predictions for the future price of Crypto or Bitcoin. However there are many people out there on Twitter that predict 1 BTC will be 500k or more around 2020. Assuming that Bitcoin 10x every 2 years, 1 million USD per BTC in 2022, is not too far-fetched.
The blockchain is a wonderful tool, however like a double-edged sword, it is up to us humans to change to become better, wiser. Otherwise it’s like giving a loaded gun to a child, the societal implications of hyper-bitcoinisation are enormous, and we need to manage them properly in order to ensure fairness and civility for all.

I'm watching bitcoin/gbtc again

A few long time friends have asked me over the year if bitcoin/gbtc was worth putting money in. I kept telling them throughout the year that I didn't think so because bitcoin was still overbought even at $6000. I could have been wrong but i just didn't think the risk was worth the reward. So i stayed away.
Now in recent months and weeks a couple of indicators has me watching again. First, the premium on GBTC ETF has fallen below 10%. This indicates a loss of hype and dumb euphoria. Second, the volume on bitcoin trades is increasing but the price is decreasing. This is a good sign from a speculator's perspective in that it means the actual price capitulation is coming.
We've all seen the famous bubble chart that shows a market bubble bursting and going into various stages of fear, panic and capitulation. We have already gone through fear and some panic but we haven't quite gone through capitulation.
True capitulation is when after a period of the price quietly going down the volume picks up. Whats happening is people are finally giving up. They really don't want to be holders anymore and have decided to get out now that they have lost a lot. This is actual capitulation.
What i'm looking for now is continually increasing volume and a price crash, a single day drop that's greater than 30%. That's when i'll say it might be worth buying and holding. At that point we would have truly bottomed out.
Now the problem is it's hard to know when a particular crash is the true bottom. There can be multiple days where this happens. The only way to know is to see the charts in hindsight and see a period of rising price on decreasing volume. That's when you know capitulation is over.
However, it might be safer to actually wait for this to happen since its hard to catch a falling knife. While you won't be at the true bottom. Buying after capitulation is over is still a good bet because the downside risk is MUCH lower and the upside gain can be tremendous.
Take for instance the last capitulation after the 2013 bubble, it bottomed out near $200. If you had waited to be absolutely certain the capitulation was over you might have gotten in at $500. The subsequent bubble reached $20k, you would have had 40x return rather than 100x return.
I would still be happy with a safe 40x return than trying to catch a falling knife for 100x return.
So i'm not buying GBTC or bitcoin yet... but i'm going to be watching bitcoin again daily rather than bi-weekly.

My Warren Buffet Inspired Crypto Investing Approach

Warren Buffet gets a lot of criticism in this subreddit. I am probably one of the few here that is still a big Buffet proponent. When I first got into crypto I found a few investing books and read them. My goal was to take what I can from their fundamentals and apply them to crypto. I think that crypto being a completely new market, the only way to get an advantage is to understand similar markets such as investing, economics, business, and venture capital.
One of the big things that Warren preaches is the Circle of Competence. This means only investing in companies that you know and understand. This is why Buffet invests in his specific markets and will never buy into Crypto. Now many people here think that all crypto are within their Circle of Competence. That is like assuming that because you know business you are an expert in all businesses. The only place you have an advantage is when blockchain is applied to your specific industry.
Buffet has done something better than everyone else has, and that is continue to make great investments. If you got into Bitcoin, Ethereum, or some ICO and made good returns great. The hard thing is to do that continually. You have to look at the good investments and understand WHY, and the ones that failed and understand WHY. You can always buy into a great company at a bad price.
Investing to hold a company for at least 10 years is another key principal. This is longer than crypto has been around but by reducing this to 1 year is a good compromise. This forces you to not day trade, and makes all your profits long-term capital gains. If you cannot hold that coin for 1 full year and be content, it was a bad investment.
Undervalued, overvalued, and I don’t know are how I look at most crypto’s. I bought Ethereum when it was < $150 because I thought it was undervalued. When it went past that, I did not know anymore. Now if I thought it was overvalued and it had been a year, I would sell some and reduce my position. Most crypto’s I do not understand if they are a good investment and application of blockchain technology and that is fine. When I see that one or maybe two a year that I understand and are undervalued, I will pull the trigger. If I do not see anything 6 months or a year, I will not make any moves. Who knows maybe I will see two good projects in a month.
A diversified portfolio is the way to go. If you try to trade your full stack into the next big thing every time, all it takes is one failure and you are done. A 40%- 60% stake in ETH or Bitcoin is a good idea. Then 20%-30% for moderate risk, and another 20%-30% for high risk investments. The ranges are for how risk adverse you are. An advantage for having a large core stack is that when you want to invest new FIAT money you have an easy onramp. You can purchase ETH or BTC from Coinbase or an alternative using the lowest fee slow option. Right after you make that purchase you can use your core holdings to make the new investment immediately. Your FIAT transfer will take a few days but it will just replenish your core stack.
Investing in crypto there is a varying degree of speculation. You may have insight into a market where block chain could disrupt the industry but no crypto’s are actually producing anything currently. This market is more like venture capital. In venture capital you lose money on 9/10 investments but the one that makes it goes big. I agree with Buffet that the craze of cryptocurrencies will not end well for most of them. A few may prevail and could become the next Microsoft, Amazon, etc., but a majority will fail, and my goal is to just make sure I am holding one of them that succeeds.
Now I will give an overview of the moves I have made, if there is any interest I can do an analysis of why I made that move at the time and what I learned from it in future posts.
  1. Late 2013 ~ 1k USD purchase of BTC. (traded into shitcoins during the bubble burst)
  2. January 2017 First purchase of ETH
  3. April 2017 Built ETH mining rig
  4. Mid 2017 Took a position in Golem (GNT)
  5. Mid 2017 First ICO, Aeternity
  6. Near EOY 2017 Position in IOTA
  7. Early December 2017 Position in XRB,(NANO)

/r/Bitcoin. ALL of /r/Bitcoin.

A couple weeks ago Bitcoin peaked at an all-time high of around $1300. Currently it's trading at $500. This crash was accelerated last night when BTCChina stopped accepting new deposits. This is coming after reports that China has directed third-parties to stop accepting Bitcoin.
Anyway, whenever something loses nearly 2/3rds of it's value in two weeks people are going to talk. And /Bitcoin has been burning the midnight oil circlejerking. The entire front page is nothing but circlejerk. It's impossible to choose one post. Instead, let's just look at top thread titles and the top replies in them. I'll use bold to signify a new thread.
Please sticky: U.S.A. Suicide Hotline 1-800-273-TALK (8255). Remember, it's just money. +191
It's never a good sign when the first post on your front page is to the suicide hotline.
Hahahaha this is how you know it's a REAL crash. Suicide hotline posted on /bitcoin! Last time this happened was when we crashed in April. +26
This is a pretty slick way of implying that this is just another dip in the road. Who knows, maybe it is. But the "it's happened before so it's no big deal" jerk is something we're going to see a lot of here.
That's fucking funny. I have my entire net work in bitcoin, and I still find this drop nothing but funny. If we get below $100 though, I might need that phone number. Ah Bitcoin. You and your crashes. You so craazzzyy. +5
There is a lot of trolling in circlejerking in this thread, so I'm really hoping this guy is trolling or that his "entire net worth" is the allowance he's saved in his piggy jar.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride, grow a pair. +5
Remember, this is in a thread about suicide. I wonder if people jumping out of windows on Black Tuesday were told to grow a pair?
To anyone who bought at over $1000: You'll have your money back within a few months. Possibly a lot less. This has happened like three or four times now :) +3
No comment can really do this justice.
BTCChina closed bank deposit as a way to deposit Chinese Yuan. Right now no way to deposit CNY into BTCC. (Link will follow) +213
This is the main thread discussing China pulling out of Bitcoin. I guess the Chinese landed on the moon this week, so they don't need BTC as their vehicle TO THE MOON!!1
so is it safe to say that chinese government has declared war on bitcoin +8
Fucking facebook is not allowed in China, a currency perfect for avoiding taxes and government control will never be accepted. Forget China. +5
Of course those evil commie bastards would try to ban Bitcoin, the currency of Freedom, Small Government, and Hot Pockets!
China here. Most people here knew this was coming as news analysts were talking non-stop about it for the past few weeks. +25
Tell us this earlier then so we get a heads up haha! +18
it was downvoted. +41
At least people are recognizing /bitcoin is a positive news only circlejerk.
Bitcoin should only be traded OTC. Stop using the exchanges, because they are a prime target for our fiat overlords ;-) +7
Originally I thought he was a troll (lots of those on /bitcoin this morning) but the rest of his posts look genuine.
After this it's nothing but "Fuck, we're going to $10" or "Just a small bump on the way to le moon!". It seems like everyone on Bitcoin is either expecting it to drop 99% or raise 100000%. There is no in-between.
Just a reminder, If you want the best bitcoin it is important for everyone to vote on every post. It stops the small groups of people from controlling what is seen. There are very active people here now admitting they are trying to crash bitcoin. +1601
Wow, this title is loaded. What's that's great is the implicit belief among a lot of /bitcoin community that the cycle of busts is the result of some shadowy boogeymen. The next quote is the body of this self post.
if a post is informative and presents good information then by all means upvote it please. If you see reposts of old bad information please downvote them. We are being flooded with posts that repeat the same discredited headlines from 5 days ago. update so far there are 209 downvoting shills who dont even want you to vote on stories on bitcoin 489 points (76% like it) 698 upvotes 209 downvotes Second update as of now there are over 1450 downvoting shill bots who don't want you to see this message! Imagine that! Over 1450 downvotes who don't want you to not let small groups influence this subreddit!
Ho. Ly. Shit. This is so over the top and circlejerky that this has to be a troll, right? That's what I thought, but this post is from a 6 year old account who has submitted hundreds of posts to /bitcoin and /conspiracy. This is the real deal, I'm afraid.
To be fair, almost all the posts in the thread are calling out OP for his stupidity. However, this is still a +1601 post on the front page.
My first legal bitcoin purchase [picture of a gold bar] +286
Bitcoin isn't just for buying drugs anymore!
Good luck with your tulip bar. +77
The top comment is real gold (har har). That's right, the historical medium for trade is actually a sham! The real true currency is imaginary internet money!
This is a future I would love to live in. Transactions in gold, silver and bitcoin, each to its strengths and according to the situation. I believe the intersection of gold and bitcoin, as the OP has just illustrated, is where the real magic happens. That would be a solid economy. +5
Any type of currency is fine so long as it isn't that fake funny money the world governments are using!
I bought in at over $1000, held strong, still have no regrets +71
I think I might have a couple regrets if I invested in something and it almost instantly lost half its value.
China is not the whole world. And there is allot of over selling. It will swing back soon enough What the smart money is doing right now is buying more. Every week buy a little more +8
Smart money = doing what I'm doing
No ragrets! Guys, this is good news for Bitcoin. The faster the speculative bubble bursts, the sooner healthy steady growth will continue, without media overhype. +8
In the world of /bitcoin, everything is good news. Going ballooning to $1000 is good and crashing to $500 a couple weeks later is good. Nothing bad ever happens.
Good job bro ! Keep it like that thats the real spirit of Bitcoin ! +8
The spirit of bitcoin is losing half your money!
bitcoin - I just got back from India. Banks there actually CHARGE people to make deposits. I swear I am not making this up. Bitcoin will be an instant hit there. +490
Based on this anecdote, Bitcoin is sure to replace the rupee in month or two.
Right now, a small bunch of techies know about Bitcoin but with the right service providers, this could be boom town. Note that US has been able to control inflation very well for decades, but Indian Rupee is highly susceptible to oil prices and general government mis-management. +9
Is this guy really suggesting that bitcoin could replace the rupee because the rupee is unstable!?
This is why Bitcoin will eventually be a big hit everywhere. Banks and governments will keep taking their slice any way they can just to use your own money. And they have the audacity to tax you on top of it... +1
Ooooh boy.
Why BTC value is dropping and will continue to drop for the near future; A detailed explanation with sources. +33
This thread isn't notable for the title, but for the replies.
Not everyone in china is selling, some will be keeping since they are able to transfer those coins out of china it they like. Some are keeping because they still know that Bitcoin will grow big in west and longterm in east asia no matter what the government says. So yes it might go down low, but not everyone will be selling all their coins. +6
They don't believe it, they know it!
The answer is obvious Chinese need to start doing business with bitcoins rather than simply investing, this is utterly impossible to regulate and the Chinese government doesnt attempt to. Its intrestings also because the web has thousands of exchanges from china selling virtual currencys for games, there is actually no diffrence, so what if any of these websites starts selling bitcoins? or what if you simply dont call it a bitcoin, its just a virtual commoditys exchange, how many virtual commodoitys do you want to buy? Theres also no ban against litecoin, btcchina could just buy sell litecoin. +5
Yeah, the Chinese have never comprehensively regulated business before.
OP has no idea what he's taking about. +2
QED, motherfuckers.
Suicide prevention post. If you have made bad decisions and your in a bad place, Please seek help before doing anything stupid. There are great people you can talk to. +21
What's better than one suicide prevention thread? Two suicide prevention threads!
Just sayin: Now is the time to buy.. +7
Top post.
I lost $11,000 in minutes after re-buying in - But I learn to appreciate the good shit I have in life - like family, etc. +1
Oh my
If you want to get rid of your bitcoins because the prices are dropping, buy products with them instead of selling it on exchange websites. The value of a bitcoin is determined by the volume traded, so when everyone tries selling at once, the price drops. +226
You idiots are hurting my money dollars! Also, isn't this guy making a pretty big assumption that the retailer is going to just sit on bitcoins while they tank in value? Next post is the body of the self post.
Treat it like a currency, not a stock. If you treat it like a stock it will act exactly like a stock. At least this is my understanding.
I'm at the thread limit but there is still a lot of buttery jerk over on /bitcoin today. Do yourself a favor and check it out.

I guess this is the opposite to what most people do.

Back in Nov 2013 I finally 'got' Bitcoin. Over a 4 day period I learnt all I could about it through YouTube . I have zero tech skills, and (dare I say it) as you can see by my Karma, I still dont 'do' the internet - I'm nearly 50! Back then I knew one person who had mentioned Bitcoin, so I phoned him up. The price was soaring at the time and I felt the longer I put it off the more I'd miss out. My friend was very nonchalant on the phone and I asked him how much his cost "Oh about $250, then they went down",he said trailing off at the end.... I asked him if he knew how much they were now, he didn't, so I told him - $650.... and this ladies and gentlemen was his reply "Fuck, I knew I should have bought more!!"
Thanks to his reaction I put everything I had into BTC, and became a HODLER! Of course the bubble of 2013 burst spectacularly, but even in the dark days of January 2015 I was still a believer. These days I have a nice little crypto portfolio, and still love thinking back to his reaction, the reaction that made me a hodler. Thank you friend!

Does anyone remember Bitcoinbillionaire? Their changetips would now be worth about a million dollars

This kind stranger gave out $13k in bitcoin on Reddit using changetip when it was worth $100-200 a coin (during the bubble burst from $200 to $100)
That's somewhere between $700k and $1M in today's money. Here's to you Bitcoinbillionaire, I hope you're still here and HODLing on. And I hope the guy who got the 10btc tip didn't cash out.

The fourth price-rising cycle of BTC might commence around May 2019. The mainstream institutions join the game and ETF might be the driving force of the fourth round of price cycle.
Summary:
BTC has undergone three rounds of price cycles. ‘It is different this time’ has always been a terrible lesson for investors. The tokens, typical represented by BTC, are special in nature to other financial products, which makes it easily get mistaken that BTC will go up straightly and never decline. When the cycle power works, the asset price, which was thought to create a different history, will collapse. There are 3 major rules of the BTC price cycle:
A. BTC price cycle is closely related to its halving cycle. A complete BTC price cycle lasts for about four years. The price-rising section will commence one year ahead of the time before the output is halved. The BTC output was halved for the first time at the end of November 2012, and before that the BTC price touched the bottom in November 2011. The BTC output was halved for the second time in July 2016, as the BTC price touched the bottom in August 2015. As you can see, each time BTC output halving, is the start of a price-rising cycle, and the price speeding up begins with it.
B. BTC price fluctuation range decreases as market value increasing. The BTC’s (in circulation) market value varies with its price fluctuations, which means BTC’s price rising makes its market value increases, and the price fluctuation range decreases. It is similar to the historical process of other asset classes. During the first price cycle, the price of BTC rose by 10636 times which was the biggest gain, and the maximum drawdown was declined by 93.76%. During the second price cycle, the price of BTC rose by 623 times, and declined by 83.93% maximum. During the third price cycle, BTC rose by 98.57 times at most, the maximum declining has not been confirmed yet.
C. The innovation led by BTC is constantly evolving and more and more approved by the mainstream. From BTC to Altcoin, from Altcoin to Crowdsale, there are iconic innovations and applications in every price cycle. In the first cycle, the birth and gradual application of BTC was a landmark event. In the second cycle, with the re-emergence of BTC in 2013, the tide of the Altcoins was rampant, and a large number of Altcoins appeared. In the third cycle, Crowdsale began to be popular around the world, and many websites started to provide Crowdsale's news and discussion forum. Since 2017, Crowdsale has dominated the blockchain investment, far exceeding VCs and corporate investment. With the development of blockchain technology, the evolution of digital certification, the improvement of practitioners' awareness, and the evolution of government regulation, the innovation led by BTC has evolved and is more approved by the mainstream.
The third round of the price cycle might come to an end around May 2019, and followed by the fourth round of price cycle. The maximum rise in the BTC's fourth price-rising cycle will be smaller than last three cycles. BTC's increasing market value demands more capital. Digital token shall embrace supervision to absorb more institutional funds. ETF will be a viable solution. In the future, it will shift from Crowdsale to ETF, and from deregulation to embracing supervision.
Risk Tips: ETFs have put capital amount into this market less than that we expected. Quantum computer technology is advancing by leaps and bounds

‘It is different this time’ has always been a terrible lesson for investors. The tokens, typical represented by BTC, are special in nature to other financial products, which results in producing an idea, in some investors’ mind, that the price of BTC will go up straightly and never decline. When the cycle power works, the asset price, which was thought to create a different history, will collapse. No matter it is the A-share market of 2007 or the one of 2015, or any ‘bubble time’ in human history, the cycle power played its role. As far as BTC is concerned, its price has also experienced three rounds of cycles.
In addition, when the asset price is in a dark period of continuous decline and weak rebound, the power of the cycle also works. As long as it is a valuable asset, its price will eventually bounce back from the bottom. Opportunities have always been there, if you have an asset with high potential in hand. In the dark moments before dawn, the more you are afraid, the more you will be confused. At this time, you have to believe in the value investing. ‘Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful’, not the other way around. That means, we shall invest reversely, buying undervalued assets gradually in the bottom region of price decline cycle; selling overvalued assets gradually in the top region of price-rising cycle; and following the trend in other time region of the cycle.
1 The First Round of Price Cycle
The first round of BTC price cycle lasted for 610 days, from March 2010 to November 2011, and in this cycle, BTC price rise rate was the highest of BTCs three price cycles.
The price rise stage of the first round of price cycle, from March 2010 to June 2011, lasted for 447 days. The starting price was 0.003 USD/piece, and the highest price was 31.91 USD/piece, the rise rate reached 10,636 times. The price decline section of the first round of price cycle, from June 2011 to November 2011, lasted for 163 days. In this price decline section, the starting price of BTC was $31.91 per piece, and the lowest price was $1.99 per piece. The decline rate was 94%.
On May 22, 2010, the famous BTC Pizza dealt. Laszlo Hanyecz from Jacksonville, FL, bought two pizzas with 10,000 BTCs. Each price ofBTC is less than 0.01US dollars.
In the first round of the price cycle, there is no explicit positive or negative factors causing BTC's price huge fluctuation. Fluctuations are more like in a “natural” situation. Before the first BTC bubble bursted in November 2011, its price was in a trend of increasing. The reason of rise was that the price base of BTC was very low. With the understanding of BTC gradually getting better, the demand increased, and then, the price rose. For example, June 2011, WikiLeaks and some organizations began accepting BTC donations.

2 The Second Round of Price Cycle
The second round of BTC price cycle lasted for 1377 days, from November 2011 to August 2015, and in this cycle, the price of BTC exceeded gold for the first time.
The price rise stage of the second round of price cycle, from November 2011 to November 2013, lasted for 743 days. The starting price was $1.99 USD/piece, and the highest price was 1,242 USD/piece, the rise rate reached 623 times. The price decline section of the second round of price cycle. From November 2013 to August 2015, lasted for 634 days. In this price decline stage, the starting price of BTC was 1,242 USD per piece, and the lowest price was 199.57 USD per piece. The decline rate was 84%.
At the second price cycle, the range of application of BTC has been greatly expanded. In November 2012, WordPress began to accept BTC; and in October 2013, the world's first BTC ATM was deployed in a coffee shop in Vancouver where customers could buy and sell BTC. In November 2013, the University of Nicosia announced accepting BTC for tuition, the university's chief financial officer called it "gold of tomorrow"; In addition to some underground economy and gray economy began to accept BTC, BTC is also getting closer to daily life.
The success of BTC popularized altcoins. The first type of altcoin LTC (Litecoin) was created in October 2011, and it is the time when the BTC price came to the end of price decline. In 2011, Namecoin and SwiftCoin were born successively. In 2012, Bytecoin and Peercoin were issued, however, BTC was still in the stage of rising slowly from the bottom, and the market was not hot. Along with the re-emergence of BTC in 2013, the tide of the altcoins is rampant, and a large number of altcoins are issued. According to CoinMarketCap data, there were 66 kinds of altcoins at the end of 2013, while there were less than 10 at the beginning of the year.
The safe-haven properties of BTC are widely approved. BTC was a choice for people in many countries that are in crises. The residents flocked to BTC, hoping to maintain assets value through BTC. This phenomenon has occurred many times during the European debt crisis. For example, in early 2013, in order to get the bailout, the Cyprus government imposed taxes on deposits and imposed strict capital controls. In order to prevent property from shrinking, the Cypriot people rushed to bank runs and exchanged their currencies for BTC. The price of BTC quickly rose from 30 something to 265 US dollars.

Due to the lack of supervision, BTC is often affected by negative events, which makes the market confidence in the danger of collapsing. In October 2013, the FBI seized approximately 26,000 BTCs from the Silk Road website, causing the BTC price to collapse to 110 US dollars. On December 5, 2013, the People's Bank of China banned the use of BTC by Chinese financial institutions, which made the price of BTC declined. In February 2014, Mt. Gox, the largest BTC exchange at the time, said that 850,000 BTCs of its customers were stolen, worth nearly 500 million US dollars, and BTC prices fell nearly half, from 867 to 439 US dollars.
The emergence of a large number of altcoins caused market bleeding. Since 2014, the number of altcoins has exploded. By August 2015, the number has reached 556, resulting in diversion of funds and market expansion. On May 1, 2013, BTC accounted for 94.29% of the market value of all tokens, and the market value of other tokens except the top 10 tokens was about 1%. By August 25, 2015, the proportion of BTC is about 83%, and the other tokens account for 4%, which is obvious.
No matter how magical token is, it is still a kind of asset. The mean return of value is a basic common sense of investment. The value will pull the price back to it, just like the gravity. The risk increases with the price rises, and the value appears when the price declines. In the rising section of this cycle, the price of BTC rose by 623 times, which is a great rise rate. When the price is too high, and the potential return in the future is insufficient, the attractiveness to new investors will fall, and the old investors will leave and look for more lucrative assets. Once the power of trend investors exhausted, the trend will reverse.
3 The Third Round of Price Cycle
The third round of price cycle of BTC is not over and is currently in the downward phase of the cycle. The price increased from August 2015 and lasted for 845 days till December 2017. The starting price of the price-rising cycle BTC was 199.57 USD/piece, and the highest price was close to 20,000 USD/piece. The rise rate is up to 99 times. Since December 2017, the price started to decline. The price has fallen to the lowest 3,191.30 US dollars up to now, a drop of 84%.
BTC networks expanded rapidly, and BTC has gained increasing recognition among legislators and traditional financial companies. Studies have shown that by November 2013, the commercialization of BTC is no longer driven by the underground economy, but by legitimate businesses. During this price cycle, people from more countries can get in touch with, select, trade and use BTC on a daily basis. In January 2016, Bitcoin computing capacity reached 1 exahash/S for the first time; In March 2016, the Japanese cabinet acknowledged that BTC has a function similar to real money. In 2017, Norway's largest online bank Skandiabanken integrated BTC accounts. In December 2017, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) officially launched BTC futures, which is an important step for BTC to take toward mainstream investment. In October 2018, Fidelity launched its independent subsidiary Fidelity Digital Asset Services to provide digital asset services to institutional customers. In December 2018, the first round of financing was completed by the token exchange Bakkt launched by the Intercontinental Exchange. In February 2019, Nasdaq officially launched - Bitcoin Liquid Index (BLX) and Ethereum Liquid Index (ELX)- two indexes. The pension fund of US invests in the encryption fund, the mainstream organization is accelerating, and the relevant infrastructure is gradually improved.
BTC has become a risky asset. Under the current “three lows” environment - low interest rates, low spreads and low volatility, investors are seeking high returns, which leads to excessive financial risk behaviors and complacency, investors' risk appetite, and high leverage tools and the acceptance of high-risk products has increased, arbitrage transactions have prevailed, liquidity mismatches have been severe, and the overall market is fragile. As the results we can see that, the price of BTC is increasingly correlated with the VIX index (Chicago Options Exchange Volatility Index). A lower VIX index indicates that investors expect less volatility, while a higher VIX indicates higher expected volatility. The lower VIX index indicates that investors are optimistic about S&P 500, while the higher VIX means that investors are uncertain about the market outlook. When market volatility declines, investors buy stocks and other types of risk assets, when the market volatility rises, investors sell risky assets.
Risk assets will be dumped when risk appetite reduces panic market. BTC bid farewell to the nature of safe-haven assets and become a risky asset. Since December 2017, with the decline of the VIX index, the price of BTC rises, and the price of BTC is negatively correlated with the VIX index. At the beginning of 2018, the VIX index skyrocketed and BTC fell rapidly. In October 2018, the global market risk aversion trend increased, the VIX index went up, and the BTC price also fell sharply.

Crowdsale has become the main financing method in the blockchain field. Crowdsale was born in the second round of the price cycle, Mastercoin did the world's first Crowdsale in July 2013. In 2014, Ethereum also raised funds through Crowdsale, when the price of ETH was less than 0.22 USD per piece. After 2016, when it is in the third price cycle, Crowdsale is popular around the world, and many websites began to provide information and discussion communities for Crowdsale. From a global perspective, Crowdsale has dominated the blockchain investment since 2017, far exceeding VCs and corporate investment. In 2017, Crowdsale raised 7.4 billion US dollars, and in the first half of 2018, Crowdsale Raised 12 billion US dollars.
The Crypto Fund emerged. Along with the Crowdsale boom, a large number of Crypto Funds were created. The number of Crypto Funds newly established in 2017 was nearly 200, far exceeding the total amount of the Crypto funds created in previous years, which fully demonstrated that, with the rise in the price of the token, the enthusiasm of funds to blockchain field is high.

The rise of blockchain 2.0, the Crowdsale tide pushed ETH up nearly 10,000 times. In the third round of the BTC (Token) price cycle, the biggest star is not BTC, but ETH. Crowdsale after 2016, issued tokens mainly through Ethereum, which represented the rise of ETH in the blockchain 2.0 era. Crowdsale prosperity boosted the rise of ETH. On January 13, 2018, the price of ETH rose to a peak of 1,432.88 US dollars per piece, which is 6512 times rise rate comparing to its initial price.
The ETH price has a significant positive correlation with the growth rate of Crowdsale financing. The growth rate of Crowdsale financing decreased by 69.23% in 2015, the price of ETH decreased by 66.30% in the same year. In 2016, the growth rate of Crowdsale financing increased by 2737.5%, and ETH increased by 753.74%. In 2017, the growth rate of Crowdsale financing increased by 3,159.91%, and ETH rose by 8809.91%.

Plan for public blockchain performance improvement emerged, and significant progress were made in lightning network. With the popularization of blockchains, the congestion of BTC and other public chains has gradually emerged, and performance has become one of the bottlenecks in the blockchain industry. In 2018, the performance-improvement plan of the public blockchain emerged. Improvements were made to the difference in blockchain logical architecture, including on-chain capacity expansion schemes by improving consensus mechanism and sharing, and off-chain capacity expansion schemes by status channel, sidechain, off-chain computing, and Layer 0 expansion scheme that enhance the scalability of the blockchain by optimizing the underlying data transmission protocol of the blockchain. Since the main net of BTC lightning network goes live, the number and capacity of channels have been increasing. As of March 10, 2019, the capacity has reached 790 BTC, and the number of channels has reached 35,464.

Note: The Unique channel refers to the channel that is directly connected to the node for the first time, and the Duplicate channel refers to the channel between the nodes that have been connected.
The standardization of the token is promoted. On January 22, 2018, South Korea required all BTC dealers to disclose their identity, thereby prohibiting anonymous trading of BTC. During the first quarter of 2018, Facebook, Google and Twitter prohibited the promotion of Crowdsale, while the US Securities and Exchange Commission investigated a large number of Crowdsale projects, and issued bans to some Crowdsale projects. Regardless of the government's attitude towards the token, it is committed to incorporating the token into the regulatory framework for legal compliance.
The Crowdsale bubble bursted and the magical story is no longer magical. According to incomplete statistics, in 2017, 871 Crowdsale were completed in the world. These projects involved directions as distributed analogous Facebook, twitter, amazon, and next-generation public chain (blockchain 3.0), etc. These projects have raised a large amount of funds, but the actual operating is worrying. The promotion of the project dissipated a large amount of funds, but the actual development progress was far less than expected, resulting in the market's expectation failure and the diversion of funds from the mainstream token. Superimposed the impact of more and more negative news, technical adjustment requirements and market sentiment fluctuation. The market enters a negative cycle, as the decline begins.

In 2018, there has been rapid growth in venture capital in the blockchain sector, indicating that venture capital still have good expectations about the application and future prospects of the blockchain. According to Coindesk data, the risk investment in the blockchain sector in 2018 reverse the decline of 2017, year-on-year increase of 257%, and the total amount for the year 2018 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.

BTC peaked first. In terms of time, in the third round of the price cycle, the first to peak is BTC, which reached 19,870.62 USD per piece in December 2017. The peak of ETH happened later than BTC, in January 2018. EOS did not peak until April. The important reason for BTC to peak first is that the amount of funds needed to support the BTC market value scale is the largest. When the market’s ability to carry on is not enough, it is inevitable for the price of BTC to react first.
4 Three Major Rules of BTC Price Cycle
The price cycle of BTC has obvious regularity, and some unchanging factors determine the price fluctuation of BTC.
4.1 BTC price cycle is closely related to its halving cycle
One full BTC price cycle lasts approximately four years. In the first round of price cycles, the measure of time span is not reliable because of the availability of BTC trading prices. The second round of the price cycle lasted for 1,377 days, from November 2011 to August 2015, about four years.
The price-rising cycle of BTC is closely related to its halving period, and the price-rising cycle starts one year before each halving. At the end of November 2012, the first production of BTC was halved, that is, the number of BTC generated by each block was 25, and in November 2011, the price of BTC has bottomed out, and the halving of BTC is one year after the second price-rising cycle. In July 2016, production of BTC was halved the second time, that is, the number of BTC generated by each block was 12.5. In August 2015, BTC had already bottomed out, and BTC's production was reduced again one year after the third price-rising cycle started.

https://preview.redd.it/9529268rw7531.png?width=445&format=png&auto=webp&s=fe1050eefe6d70403ddcdc053bdbccb0bc47818f
BTC output halving blows the horn of each price-rising cycle, and the price speeding up begin. Although it is not BTC output halving that brings the price-rising cycle, but the halving of BTC output significantly reduced the growth rate of BTC supply, speeding up the rise of BTC price and the price-rising cycle. From November 2011 to November 2012, before the halving of BTC output, BTC increased by 6.74 times in one year. From November 2012 to November 2013, BTC price increased by 99.57 times. In the third price-rising cycle, BTC price rose by a maximum of 2.87 times in about 11 months before the production cut. After halving, BTC price rose by a maximum of 29.73 times in about 11 months.

https://preview.redd.it/dft83mprw7531.png?width=687&format=png&auto=webp&s=82014d03eaee7136a6995a1b2df1faa9d22c6a5f
4.2 BTC price cycle is closely related to its halving cycle
The change in the market value scale of BTC (circulation) is mainly caused by its price fluctuations, and has little to do with the changes in the total amount of BTC output. According to CMC data, by April 28, 2013, the total amount of BTC that had been mined was about 11.18 million pieces, which is more than 53% of the total amount of BTC of 21 million pieces. The halving mechanism of BTC also accelerated the marginal decline of BTC total growth rate. Compared with the amount of BTC already mined, the new supply of BTC is very insignificant. In addition, the volatility of BTC prices far exceeds the volatility of BTC's total output, and the market value of BTC fluctuates with its price.
The market value of BTC has increased in trend. Because of the trend of BTC price-rising, the number of BTC total output has also increased in one direction, and the market value of BTC has increased in the long run. According to CMC data, on April 28, 2013, BTC's market value in circulation was only 1.5 billion US dollars. By the peak of the third price-rising cycle, the market value increased to 326.1 billion US dollars, and the current market value also reached 113.8 billion US dollars, increased by 74.87 times.
The price volatility of BTC is gradually getting smaller. With the increasing of BTC market value in trend, the BTC market is becoming more and more mature, more and more accepted by the public, more and more professional organizations are participating, the compliance operation is becoming mainstream, and the BTC price volatility is decreasing. Similar to the historical process of other asset classes, and the same thing is repeated again and again. In the first price cycle, the price of BTC increased by 10636 times, and the fell by 93.76% maximum. In the second price cycle, the price of BTC increased by 623 times, and fell by 83.93% maximum. In the third price cycle, the maximum increase of BTC price was 98.57 times, and the biggest decline has not been confirmed

4.3 BTC-led innovation continues to evolve and is more and more recognized by the mainstream
In the third cycle, Crowdsale began to be popular around the world, many websites started to provide Crowdsale's news and discussion forum. Since 2017, Crowdsale has dominated the blockchain investment, far exceeding VCs and corporate investment.
The original intention of Nakamoto to create BTC is to establish a more efficient means of trading that can be electronically transferred in a safe, verifiable and non-tamperable form. During the early days of bitcoin and blockchain development, this drove the development of most applications of BTC and blockchain. However, with the development of blockchain technology, the evolution of digital token, the recognition of practitioners, and the evolution of government regulation, the changes led by BTC continue to evolve and gain more mainstream recognition.
More and more countries recognize that the blockchain reflects its unique value in many fields. The government has gradually incorporated digital token into regulation, and mainstream institutions are increasingly recognizing BTC. In 2017, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) officially launched BTC futures, as BTC took an important step toward mainstream investment, improving the accessibility of BTC to traditional financial institutions. In March 2017, Cameron's Cliveworth and Taylor W. Crawworth brothers attempted to submit an application to the US Securities and Exchange Commission for BTC ETF (transactional open-ended index fund). Although on September 22, 2018, US Securities and Exchange Commission rejected nine BTC ETF applications, the approval of BTC ETF application is a high probability event in the long run. With the continuous improvement of related infrastructure and the gradual maturity of the market, the pace of institutional entry has shown signs of acceleration. Since the end of 2018, news about the organization of encrypted assets by mainstream institutions has continued.

5 The new journey of BTC will Start in May 2019
The fourth price-rising cycle of BTC will start in May 2019, and mainstream institutions will enter the market, while ETF may become the core trend of the fourth round of BTC price cycle.
From the perspective of supply, the third halving of BTC begins around May 21, 2020. The price-rising cycle of BTC is closely related to its halving period. The price-rising cycle starts about one year before halving. From this perspective, the BTC price-rising cycle may be opened around May 2019.

https://preview.redd.it/29dzwhwtw7531.png?width=695&format=png&auto=webp&s=7e69a27442cd093611027fd067cb4bbd784cb2b0
From the time dimension, the complete BTC price cycle lasts for about four years. The third round of the price cycle, which started in August 2015, will be completed around August 2019, and the fourth round of the price cycle of BTC will begin thereafter. Considering that the data in the second round of the price cycle is more reliable, only the second round of price cycle data is used as the measurement standard, the complete price cycle is 1377 days, about 3 years and 9 months, and the third round price cycle may end around May 2019.
Combined with the previous two BTC price cycles, the downturn phase of the current price cycle has been probably more than half, and further downside space is limited. In the first two rounds of the price cycle, the duration of the downlink phase is less than the duration of the uplink phase. The duration of the third phase of the price cycle has been confirmed (845 days), while the duration of the downturn phase has been more than half of the upstream phase (450 days). From the first two rounds of the price cycle, the rapid decline in prices occurred in the early stage of the downtrend phase. The price fluctuations of BTC in the second half of the downturn phase have been significantly reduced. The BTC price declines reached 61% in the first half and 74% in the second round of the price cycle, and the corresponding maximum declines in BTC were 94% and 84% respectively. In the current round of the price cycle, the biggest drop has reached 84%, so take it from now, even if the price is further down, the downside space is already limited.

Note: The data of the third round of the price cycle and the total duration are up to March 12, 2019.
From the price dimension, the downside space of the current round of BTC prices is limited, and the maximum increase of BTC's fourth price-rising cycle will become smaller. In the first price cycle, the price of BTC increased by 10636 times, and fell by 93.76% maximum. In the second price cycle, the price of BTC increased by 623 times, and fell by 83.93% maximum. In the third price cycle, the maximum increase of BTC price was 98.57 times, and the biggest decline has not been confirmed. On February 6, 2018, BTC fell to a minimum of 3,191.30 US dollars per piece, drop by 84.07%, has reached the low of second round of price cycle, from the perspective of price adjustment, BTC price downside has been more limited. The maximum increase in the fourth price-rising cycle of BTC will be smaller.
From the perspective of risk, after a year of continuous adjustment, BTC prices have fully fallen, risks have been gradually released, and investor’s risk appetite has risen to create favorable conditions for BTC prices to stabilize. Beginning at the end of December 2018, the VIX index has fallen, and now it has reached 15 or below. The investor's risk appetite has gradually picked up, creating favorable conditions for the BTC price to rise stably.
Last but not least, from the perspective of capital, the mainstream institutions accelerated their entry and many positive signals were released. With the continuous improvement of related infrastructure and the gradual maturity of the market, the pace of institutional entry has shown signs of acceleration. Since 2018, on the one hand, the entry of mainstream institutions can bring incremental funds to the entire market, on the other hand, it also contributes to the formal development of the entire industry.
The value of the BTC's market value in circulation continues to increase, and the digital token embraces regulation. It is expected that the ETF will be the core trend in the fourth price cycle. As the value of the BTC and digital token market increases, their use will be more tied-up to legitimate use than illegal activities. According to the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) data, only 10% of the current BTC transactions is related to illegal activities and 90% is used for legal transactions. BTC's increasingly large market value requires more financial support. Digital token will embrace supervision to absorb more funds, and ETF will be a viable solution. In the future, there is going to be an evolution from Crowdsale to ETF, from regulation to embrace supervision.
Note:
Although in this report, we try to predict the bottom and time of Token, especially BTC, by using time and space cycle, we would like to tell investors that it is very dangerous to invest basing on a specific dot and time. An investment shall base on the assessment of the value of the token.
Here are our suggestions: 1. Do not try to predict the market. Mistakes are liable to happen when you try to predict market harshly. 2. Feel the cycle. Cycle is always there, because of the constant human nature;3. Be with a good Token, which will bring you more chance to win. 4.Keep valuation in mind. The most important thing in value investing is to keep the valuation in mind. If the price is reasonable, everything is getable. The key is the difference between price and value (Absolute valuation method is not available with Token because of its specialty. However, a relative valuation method can be applied. Please refer to Token Toll’s report series).
Notions:
For some reasons, some definition in this report are not very defined, such as: Token, Digital Token, Digital Currency, Currency, Crowdsale, etc.

My biggest regret, a saved email from 2013.

12/20/13 K: Hey man, it's K. Is your name D? Anyway...getting money onto BTC-e can be tricky if you are trying to deposit USD. I kind of just had to learn by trial an error because I didn't know anyone that could teach me, because i am the only one that invests in crypto currency that I know.
Anyway, coinbase is probably the best bitcoin wallet service in the United States. It is definitely the largest and most reputable. Use this referral link: Once you sign up using this link, it will give us both some free money after you have purchased some bitcoins. The process takes a little while to get all started up, but it is worth it because it is so easy to use after. You can instantly buy bitcoins, and then use those bitcoins to send to BTC-E to purchase whatever other coins you want. I invest pretty heavily in LTC. The only way I have been able to do that is by buying bitcoins on coinbase, and then sending them to btc-e. Let me know if this works for you..
K: Let me know if the email reached you
D: Yep. I got it. Two to three days for the deposit verification into my bank account. Thanks for the advice. I take it you work in finance?
K: Yeah I do :). Coinbase takes a bit for the verification process but it is super easy to use after that. When you sell bitcoins, they just deposit the money right back into your bank account. It's the easiest service that I have found that is reputable.
D: Have you ever tried trading for small margins? I made about 0.60 USD since I started last night. I got my initial funding by mining FTC. I'm trading BTC.
D: Actually up to 10.81 after my last trade. Got in at 625 and sold at 639.
K: I mainly buy and hold for long term. I bought some NMC to flip, but it dropped in value steeply so im still holding it. I buy more every time it dips. Sent via wireless, please excuse any typos...
D: Cool. No worry about typos. I type all day at work so don't mind as well. I give up on accuracy at 5. My friends also aren't very much into crytpo currencies. I like the technical aspect but I'm more interested in trading on BTC-E. I must have watched about 12 hours of bitcoinwisdom since yesterday. It was my first time analyzing real time data. I can't believe how much info you can obtain just from identifying patterns. I have a quick question about a 401k if you don't mind. So far my year to date is 26%, is that good?
K: Yes, very good. You must have had it set up aggressively with the investing choices (which is better to do when you are young). Good stock market returns are around 12% so you are more than double, but don't be surprised if there is a correction to lower on the returns there too.
D: Yes. I'm over 50% in small cap and am young. Is there anyway to avoid that correction by reallocating?
K: Nah, just leave it. At least you have a 401k, most people are paycheck to paycheck
D: Defiantly. I can't imagine how some of my co-workers get by paying overdraft fees each month. Have a good night. I'll let you know when I buy some coins on that site.
K: Cool, let me know. Let's make some money! :)
12/22/13 D: Howdy K, I'm still waiting on the deposits in my bank account by Coinbase. Thanks for the referral link, I'm looking forward to that free $5 of BTC. Up to $12.30 USD on BTCE, looking to break $13 tonight. Can't wait to get some more trading funds.
K: It takes a bit for the initial deposit. I think it took my bank almost a week :(. Once you are done though everything is quick. If you add a credit card too, you can buy up to 10 btc instantly per week
D: Awesome. Have any suggestions? (pic) attaches picture of small gains trade history
K: What do you mean by sugggestions? Like on your trading?
K: Can you deposit more money? It looks like you aren't fully able to enjoy the full gains of your trades because the amounts that you are trading are a little small. If possible I would suggest buying 1 btc when the price is the lowest of the day, and then trade from there..
K: Also i would stay away from ftc for time being
12/24/13 K: Hey bud, i just got some free money from coinbase :) did you get it too? Pretty cool huh?
D: Yes sir. 4 days for my order to fill, can't wait.
12/25/13 D: Merry Christmas!
K: Merry xmas! If you add a credit card you can instant buy up to 10btc. What other coins are you buying right now? I mainly just have BTC and LTC
D: Does the credit card have to be a Visa? I'm mining about 8 FTC per day and trading for BTC at market. Then I trade BTC/USD for 0.10 - 0.40 profits. Working on a spreadsheet right now which you can see if you are interested.
D: spreadsheet sends corny orange and grey spreadsheet
K: Think it can be mastercard or amex too...
K: Nice LTC rally today :). I just picked up more LTC yesterday too
D: I tried adding a mastercard and discover but it wouldn't work. I've been watching the rally. Waiting to buy in to BTC at $656.
K: Shit that sucks, email support and ask if they accept mastercard? I find that odd that they would only accept visa
D: No worries. Deposit should clear 12/31
12/29/2013 K: Hows it going? Did you get your btc?
D: Hey K. Not yet, they will be deposited 12/31. Bought at $651
K: Nice so you are already up :)
K: How much did you buy? You should buy some and hold long term if possible too
1/2/2014 D: Happy New Year, K. I only bought 0.2 BTC for about $131. I'm at a total balance of $179.07. Started mining FTC again for the few extra dollars per day.
I think I read somewhere that there is a cap of 21 million BTC that will ever be in existence. 21 million on the internet is subtle considering how many views cat videos get on youtube. 21 million out 7 billion people is even smaller. Sometimes I find it hard to imagine millions and billions but I always think about this one thing: 1 million seconds is about 11 days, 1 billion seconds around 31 years. I'm very optimistic about the long term. Probably going to set aside at least 1 BTC in the near future.
Have you ever seen BTC listed on ebay? I created an auction yesterday for 0.1 BTC, $120.00. It sold within 3 hours but the buyer flaked out after I told them they would be receiving the BTC-E redeemable code in the mail. They created a dispute stating that the ebay/pal accounts were accessed by an unauthorized third party which is currently in process. I didn't lose anything and actually sold back the 0.1 at $775 after buying at $740 last night. I'm considering re-listing some BTC on Ebay but don't want to deal with reversed payments. Have any insight?
K: I heard ebay can be a nightmare with sellers getting scammed by buyers with chargebacks. If you are going to do it, I would recommend selling maybe paper wallets only, that you actually have to mail to them. That way you can have a tracking number for your shipping. If you want to sell through paypal, be careful, I think any mention of crypto currency can get your account frozen. Not positive about that though. Try selling to people on the forums, I think that would be easy. Honestly, I think just buying what you can and holding long is the best option to make the best returns. Look how the market has gone today D
K: 21 million BTC is not even enough btc for each person in my state to have 1, let alone the United States, or the entire world. As long as the demand stays high, the price could become astronomical if some major players like wall street enter the game. Just think, if Wall Street threw like 100 mill at Bitcoins (which is not that far-fetched), the price would probably jump to like 3-4k per BTC after that 1 day alone…
D: I don't think I'm going to sell anything else on Ebay until I come up with a better way of protecting against charge backs. The market has been awesome today.
D: That's very true. I think my next purchase will be 0.5 BTC to keep in my wallet.
K: Have you seen the stuff on zerocoin? Looks interesting, should be out this year...there has been a lotta hype around it..
D: Haven't heard anything about it until just reading an article now. Looks interesting and they make a good argument about anonymity. I only read over it briefly, but it appears what they're proposing would add an additional transaction fee the the process. Cool concept. Are you good with candlestick charts and patterns?
K: Somewhat. I learned them in college but stopped using them until now, so I am pretty rusty…I get the concepts and all, but I am not a professional at them by any means. I saw my buddies wallet the other day…he is pretty stacked. Over 250btc and over 1000 LTC!
D: That is pretty stacked. About 500k stacked, right? Are you familiar with the creator(s) of bitcoin "Satoshi Nakamoto"? Is it actually one person? There are quite a few claims as to who or whom Satoshi may be.
K: Im not familiar, i heard it was a team of people under that one name
D: I wonder if it was created by a goverment. Like some NSA type agency. Kinda like how the darknet started off as a Navy project.
K: Nah I doubt it. Government wouldn't create something that could possibly pose a threat to its own currency.
D: That's a good point. The future of BTC is exciting.
1/6/2014 D: Started trading NMC recently. Check ou the spreadsheet attaches another shitsheet Still just testing the water before I start making bigger trades. Buy any more BTC/LTC lately?
K: Cool man.. Year i got some LTC at $16 right before it went back up :)
1/7/2014 D: Nice buy. Catch the market today? China's equivalent of Ebay banned the sell of btc, ltc, mining gear, etc.
My understanding on of China: China’s central bank regulated the virtual currency for the first time on Dec. 5 by banning financial institutions and payment providers from conducting transactions in the virtual currency
Chinese central bank officials told third-party payment service providers to stop offering clearing services to online Bitcoin exchanges
China's Ebay bans sell of BTC in accordance to the central bank's ban effective Jan. 31. Acting as a clearing house of BTC.
I'm now $180 long NMC. I might invest 1k soon on BTC, any thoughts on an upcoming entry point?
K: Hmmm not quite sure on entry point. I am in the red as of today on NMC. Im trying to get it back to 0.01 btc to convert my nmc back to btc, i missed it on the last push. If you are investing 1k and holding long, then any of the daily ups and downs dont matter because in the long run we hope it will be way up. If i were you, i would just wait for a big red candle and then try to by at the bottom. Maybe $800/btc is good?
K: The part that sucks is that it seems like BTC value works so hard to creep up and up slowly, and right when it seems like it is going to pick up some momentum, BAM! More bad news comes out and slams the market. This cycle seems to keep repeating over and over right now…
1/9/14 K: I got 2 more btc :)
1/27/14 D: Sorry, haven't check this email account for a few weeks. Been working a lot of OT. What price did you buy in at on 1/9? I just sold a majority of my coins for cash. I picked up 3 LTC at 19.50 though. What's gonna happen 2/1/14?
Also, do you know how long it would take for a tax return check if you have your taxes in prior to the 31st? I finished those 2 weeks ago if it matters.
The other day the dow finished pretty low. Do you have any thoughts about the US economy over the next 6-12 months?
K: What’s up man…huge dump off of BTC right now on almost all exchanges (except gox which is bs anyway). I bought some more LTC at around $19 too.
I am holding all for long haul, although it would have been profitable to sell this morning, and re-buy after this dump off. I have no idea what is going to happen on 2/1. Last time when senate met, everyone thought the party was over, and then there was a huge rally in prices instead.
I am trying to figure out the right price to buy more btc right now… what do you think?
D: Sorry. Copied and pasted instead of attaching the pic. I think we'll have to see if it breaks that support. What about the arrest of that guy at bitinstant? *attaches picture of BTC 4h chart with a random line pointing downward
K: I don’t think that one arrest will tank the market like that. I am wondering if the confiscated silk road funds are being trickled through the exchanges by the feds. It seems weird the sell off right now. It almost seems systematic. Like there is a huge sell off that clears all the buy orders. Then it is calm for a few minutes, then repeat. Really strange…
D: But I wonder how they brought charges on him? Could they hold anyone accountable who sold BTC to a person using it to buy drugs on silk road? If the Feds are selling that would explain it. They seized 144,000 and they're saying the owner of silkroad may have 600,000 stashed in a wallet.
K: I think the number is more like 30,000 btc
D: The spokesperson says the approximately 26,000 Bitcoins seized are just the ones that were held in Silk Road accounts. In other words, it’s Silk Road users’ Bitcoin. The FBI has not been able to get to Ulbricht’s personal Bitcoin yet. “That’s like another $80 million worth,” she said, explaining that it was held separately and is encrypted. If that is indeed what he’s holding, that’s close to 600,000 Bitcoin all together or about 5% of all Bitcoin currently in existence. (Update 10-25: The FBI says it’s seized 144,000 Bitcoins, or about $28 million, that it believes belong to Ross Ulbricht.)
K: I don’t understand how they were able to confiscate them, when bitcoins are not yet considered money, so they shouldn’t fall under forfeiture rules…
1/17/18 - D: Wish you the best K and hope you held those coins longer than I did.
TLDR: Meet a friend in December 2013 that gave me advice to buy and hold BTC long term. This is one of our email threads from around that time, edited to remove personally identifying information. I used all my bitcoin for pizza following the fall of Mt. Gox and the subsequent bubble burst.
